3.6 Patch Notifiers

- Procedurally generated planetary settlements now exist on inhabited planets throughout the universe.
- Of course, the settlements are found through new quests that take place after a short post-tutorial progression.
- Settlements can also be found using maps purchased from space station cartographers.
- Quests on the quest board that involve finding NPCs can also lead players to settlements.
- Players can submit their credentials to the monument in the center of the settlement. If the citizens agree to this, they become administrators of the settlement and can choose their name.
- Each settlement and its layout are unique. Each building is procedurally generated using only the parts available for the player's base building.
- The status of the settlement can be viewed and managed from the central monument. Once players have established their Overseer Office, they will also be able to manage settlements through the Office terminal.
- Settlements have five key stats: productivity, population, happiness, maintenance cost, and sentinel alert level.
- Improve your stats by researching new technology, attracting new settlers to the city, constructing new buildings, setting settlement policies, and more!
- A settlement that is more productive than it maintains will produce valuable products for its overseers for their own use. Higher level settlements produce more valuable goods.
- Settlements can go into debt, for example, after the start-up of expensive new technology. Debts are automatically paid for overproduction. Supervisors will not be able to claim additional products if a debt is included in the Settlement Agreement.
- Major status bonuses are given in the form of payout features.
- Powerful features will replace weaker ones. Once billing reaches the feature cap, weaker features are rewarded as status bonuses and do not replace better features.
- Over time, supervisors are asked to make decisions. New settler quests have been added to the journal to better keep track of these requests. This task alerts the supervisor when necessary.
- Every few hours, supervisors may be asked to make a decision. These range from greeting strangers and solving crimes to developing placement guidelines and investigative objectives.
- These options will help your settlement become a prosperous city. However, be sure to monitor Sentinel alert levels. This value slowly increases over time and can lead to attacks on settlements. Overseers must be prepared to defend their people!
- The inhabitants of the settlement will wander around the city according to their own habits. Your mood is affected by the overall happiness of the deal, as well as your own reactions to your choices.
- All colonists can be inspected to see what their current mindset is.
- Other colonists displayed their thoughts as they wandered, giving Overseers insight into the inner workings of their citizens.
- Opportunities will often arise to choose to build new buildings. Choose your favorite buildings to make your settlement unique.
- Once the Overseer's Office terminal has made a decision, a construction site will be created within the settlement. Visit locations and provide resources to advance the construction.
- Completing building construction will also give you stat bonuses.

- The new set takes context into account and automatically adjusts the visual representation to its position in the building. For example, a wall placed on top of a multi-story building might have additional panels added to the top, while a wall placed below might have additional support beams attached.
- Exocraft Signal Boosters can now locate Trade Outposts.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Galactic Trade Terminals from being placed on simple wall pieces.
- Galactic Trade Terminals no longer require power to function in a player base.
- Many outdated and unusable core parts have been removed from the tech tree.
